It is our vision to make high-quality industry education available to hair loss and salon professionals from all over the world at the lowest possible cost. What makes a NIU Presenter?

Just as diverse as their backgrounds are their individual stories of professional growth, perseverance and achievement. What they have in common, though, is the fact that all of our Presenters are industry veterans with each of them having a minimum of 20 years of professional experience under their belt. They all run successful hair loss businesses and believe in giving back to the professional community by sharing their passion. NIU Presenters are Masters of their trade, but always remain Students, as they advocate life-long learning and continued education.

How do I register for NIU?

1. Call 1-800-359-4247 and an Account Associate can assist you in setting up your membership account.
2. Please have your valid and current cosmetology license, credit card and billing information handy.
3. Once signed up, you will receive an email with your log in information
4. Log in and enjoy!

Are there different access levels for studio and salon owners and technicians?

Yes, there are different access levels for owners, managers and technicians available under one membership. Please follow the prompts or speak with your Account Associate about this when registering.

What if I have a technical question regarding NIU log-in, video playback, video player or browser?

If you experience any issues with the above, feel free to contact us by email at membercare@newimageuniversity.com and put “Attention IT Department” in the subject line. Our IT professionals will get you back on track.

Help! I lost my password!

You can easily reset your password online by going to the Sign In menu and clicking the “Password Recovery” icon next to the Sign In button. You can also call us at 1-800-359-4247 or email membercare@newimageuniversity.com and we will email your log in credentials.

What if I have a question that the video tutorials don’t answer?

NIU is proud to have a caring team of Resident Hair Experts on call to answer any of your hair replacement questions. Our experts can help with sales, marketing, product, and technical questions. How do I purchase a Material Success Kits?

The NIU Education Success Kits can be purchased here. To purchase individualized NIU Business Starter Success Kits, please call 800-359-4247 for assistance.

Why is the “Mark Complete” button not showing up?

If the “Mark Complete” button is not showing up on a page, it is because you have not completed a course prerequisite. You must complete previous lessons and mark as complete in order to track your progress. For an overview of how to do this please see How NIU Works.

What do I do if I am ready to take the Certification Exam?

Log in and go to “My Courses” on the main navigation, then choose the Certification you are ready to take the exam for. Click on “Certification Exam” and this will take you to the exam page. From there, click on the “Start exam” button when you are ready.

What is the best way to take the Certification Exam?

You must complete each course in sequence in order to take the exam. Once you complete the courses listed before the exam, you can take the exam at your convenience. You may take the exam on your desktop computer, your pad or even smartphone.

How many times can I take the Certification Exams?

You can take any of our Certification Exams 3 times. If you still do not pass after 3 attempts, please call us at 1-800-359-4247 to reset your password and log-in information.

How do I receive my certificate?

An official certificate for display in your studio or salon with a congratulations letter will be mailed to you within the next four business days of passing the Certification Exam.
